Who this is for
Asset Managers and Operational Supervisors.
Before you start
- Verify your site scope is set correctly
- Familiarize yourself with the asset hierarchy levels
Operational Workflow
The Asset Registry is the source of truth for all physical entities in your operation. Use it to track lifecycle status, criticality, and maintenance history.
- Use the Registry list view to search for assets by code or name.
- Review the Hierarchy View to see how assets are nested within sites and systems.
- Update Asset Status (Active, In Maintenance, Decommissioned) to reflect current field reality.
- Audit Location Quality by ensuring every record has a building or GPS coordinate assigned.
What to check next
- Launch a new work order for a specific asset
- Review the maintenance history ledger for critical assets
Common mistakes
- Allowing duplicate asset codes across different sites
- Leaving criticality fields empty, which affects priority automated logic
- Not updating the status when an asset is removed from service
